HDMS Birkholm (A541) is the first of a total of six Mk.I standard vessels,^{[clarification needed]} ordered for the Royal Danish Navy. Two vessels, including HDMS Birkholm, will be used for surveying operations, and painted in an orange/creme painting scheme.
