Haikou Mingcheng Football Club (simplified Chinese: 海口名城足球俱乐部; traditional Chinese: 海口名城足球俱樂部; pinyin: Hǎikǒu Míngchéng Zúqiú Jùlèbù), currently known as Haikou Mingcheng SNT&Tea (Chinese: 海口名城尚南堂) for sponsorship reasons, is a Chinese professional football club based in Haikou, Hainan, that competes in China League Two, the third tier of Chinese football.[1] Haikou Mingcheng plays its home matches at the Haikou Mission Hills Football Training Base Stadium, located within Xiuying District.
History
[edit]Hainan Dingli Flying Tiger Football Club was founded on 17 August 2017 in Haikou, Hainan. In 2019, the club moved to Lingshui County and changed its name to Lingshui Dingli Jingcheng Football Club. They participated in Chinese Champions League in 2021 and was promoted to China League Two.[2][3] In 2022, the club changed its name to Hainan Star Football Club.
