Hamza Čataković (Serbo-Croatian pronunciation: [xǎmza tʃǎtakoʋitɕ]; born 15 January 1997) is a Bosnian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Slovak Super Liga club Trenčín and the Bosnia and Herzegovina U21 national team.

Club career

Early career

As a youth player, Čataković played for local clubs before eventually coming to Sarajevo in 2015.[2] He scored on his professional debut in a league game against Slavija.[3] In June 2018, he tore anterior cruciate ligament of his knee and was ruled out for more than six months.[4]

Trenčín

Čataković joined Trenčín in January 2017 while still recovering from the injury. In June 2017, he signed a three-year contract with the club.[5] He scored on his competitive debut for Trenčín in a UEFA Europa League qualifier against Torpedo Kutaisi on 29 June.[6] On his league debut, Čataković provided an assist which brought his team a win over Senica.[7]

International career

Čataković has represented Bosnia and Herzegovina on various youth levels.[8]
