Hansen High School is a high school in Hansen, Idaho. They were the 2003 state track division 1A champions.They went to 2009 state track in the 300 hurdles, and 800m. Their rivals are the Murtaugh Red Devils. Hansen high school has about 300+ students. It offers athletic programs for both girls and boys such as football, volleyball, basketball, cross country, and track.
Hansen has had many recent involvements in certain activities such as the "Rachel's Challenge" program, the "Every 15 Minutes" program, and currently has an Academic Awards program which rewards students who receive a 2.7 GPA or higher by organizing them into groups: gold, silver, green, white, with gold being the best. students receive candy at the "white" ticket level and the reward increases as the higher GPA gets. AT the start of the 2015- 2016 school year, Mrs. Kelly is the Junior/Senior High principal and Mrs. Beck-Trappen is the superintendent. The school welcomes Mr. Broyles as the new athletic director for the Junior/Senior High school and Elementary.
Hansen currently is excelling and academic achievements and is seeing increases in ISAT testing and is currently above standards set in place by the state of Idaho.
