Harry Cook (born 12 June 1991) is an Australian actor, writer and LGBTQ activist. Born in Croydon, South London, Harry moved to Australia with his family in 2001 (aged 10). An established character actor, Harry is best known for his roles in Accidents Happen (2009) and Caught Inside. His various roles also include Chook in Panic at Rock Island (2010), Drew Johnston in I Love You Both (2015) and Meat in Drown (film) (2015) which earned him a Best Supporting Actor Award at the prestigious FilmOut San Diego Film Festival in 2015.[1]
Cook came out as gay in 2013,[2]. He was on the forefront of the fight for marriage equality in Australia.[3] In 2016, Cook was nominated as LGBTQ Celebrity of the Year at the Inaugural Australian LGBTQ Awards held at the Sydney Opera House for his work as an openly gay activist and actor. He was nominated again the following year.[4]
After five years together, Harry and his partner Liam Davis married in Carmel, California in November 2015.[5] The pair now reside in Sydney together.
In September 2018, Harry's debut memoir Pink Ink (book) is due for release. [6]
