Harry Dixon Loes (1892–1965) was a well-known Christian hymn writer who wrote Blessed Redeemer and This Little Light of Mine in circa 1920 with Avis Christiansen.

Loes was born in 1892. Loes studied music at Moody Bible Institute and the American Conservatory. Loes then taught music at Moody Bible Institute until his death in 1965. He also wrote "Love Found a Way."[1]
