Hassan al-Nouri (born 1960)[1] is a candidate for the Syrian presidential election, 2014.[2]

Syrian media claimed that al-Nouri held a PhD from John F. Kennedy University—this alleged PhD was actually acquired from Kennedy-Western University, an unaccredited diploma mill that was shut down in 2009.[3]
