Hatsun often called Hatsun Agro Products is the largest private sector dairy Company in India based in Chennai.[1][2] It was founded by R. G. Chandramogan in 1986. It is projected to become a billion dollar company by mid-2013.[3][4] The Company was also awarded "The Fastest Growing Asian Dairy Company".[5][6][7][8] The Dairy product maker has been bagging the Golden Trophy from the Indian Government for largest dairy products exporter for the last many years.[9] This Prestigious award which was also awarded to Infosys, Tata Group in their respective fields, only recognises the company's steadfast commitment to quality and innovation which is yet another feather in the company's list of achievements.[10]

Growth

The company has tripled its total turnover over the past 3 years and is set to become the fastest growing Dairy company in the world, with a record growth rate of 116% over the past 3 successive Quarters.[11][12]

During the Financial Year 2011-2012, the Company grew at a rate of 23.6%.[13] Future expansion plans in the Middle East and North America has pushed the company towards capatilising on these regions.
