Hawk Springs State Recreation Area is a state-operated, public recreation area on the west side of Hawk Springs Reservoir 6 miles (9.7 km) southeast of Hawk Springs in Goshen County, Wyoming. The recreation consists of Hawk Springs Reservoir with 1,950 acres (790 ha) of water and 50 acres (20 ha) of land. The park has a boat ramp, parking area, and 24 campsites.[1]

The reservoir has a great blue heron rookery and other waterfowl, such as blue-winged and green-winged teals, gadwalls, wood ducks, and pintails. Largemouth bass, walleye, and channel catfish are found in the reservoir.[2]
