Rasmus Hedegaard (born 25 July 1988 in Randers) or just Hedegaard is a Danish DJ and award winning music producer. He is signed to Copenhagen Records.[1] His management is TWTTW (Then We Take The World) with Lasse Siegismund and Kasper Færk.[2][3] He is best known for his remix of "Dr. Dre – Next Episode" and his Scandinavian chart topping single "Happy Home" which went 3 times platinum in Denmark, 3 times platinum in Norway and gold in Sweden.
Career
For several years Hedegaard has produced for Danish artists. Among these L.O.C., Selvmord, Kato, Lukas Graham, Kesi and Suspekt.[4] His remix "Twerk It Like Miley (Hedegaard Remix)" with Brandon Beal featuring Christopher is now 3x platinum.
His unofficial remix of Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dres hit "The Next Episode" made Hedegaard well-known across Europe. The video has more than 40 million views on YouTube.[5] He also remixed for 50 Cent, Macklemore, Basto, Ludacris, Stromae, Eminem and Rihanna.[4][6]
In 2012 Hedegaard started producing his own original tracks, and in the summer 2013 he released "Kysset Med Medina", where the Danish rapper Oliver Kesi is featured. The song went gold.[7]
In 2014 Hedegaard released "Happy Home", featuring Lukas Graham Forchhammer. The song was played heavily on the Danish radio station P3.[5] and was put in A rotation on several other radio stations. On streaming and sale it was #1 for several weeks in Danmark[8] and now has accumulated more than 31 million streams total (02/09/2015). After performance on the Norwegian talk show "Senkveld med Thomas og Harald",[9] it became #1 on the Norwegian iTunes and was certified 3x platinum on streaming in Norway.[10] In 2014 Hedegaard won a Danish grammy as "Producer of the year" for the hit "Happy Home" to Danish Music Awards 2014. In 2015 he won another award for "Most Played Song Of The Year" at "Carl Prisen", and "Twerk It Like Miley" with Brandon Beal won 3 awards at Danish Dj Awards.
