Helen Fairbrother, of England, is the third delegate from her country to win the Miss International crown. Her victory came in 1986, when it was held in Nagasaki, Japan.[1] [2]

Miss United Kingdom

A year after her triumph in 1987, she went on to compete in the Miss United Kingdom to earn the right to represent United Kingdom in the Miss World pageant. She placed second runner-up. This placement made her the first Miss International to compete at Miss United Kingdom and place in the semifinals.
