Hermann Stefánsson

This is an Icelandic name. The last name is patronymic, not a family name; this person is referred to by the given name Hermann.

Hermann Stefánson is an Icelandic writer, musician and poet born in Reykjavík on July 25, 1968. His novel Oblivion has been called a landmark in Icelandic literature. Hermann has written many books in many book categories, as he says himself, that he doesn't stick to any certain category. His latest books are popular in Icelandic culture and he has been nominated for the Íslensku bókmenntaverðlaunin in 2015 for the book Leiðin út í heim.
