Harriet Jessica P "Hetti" Bywater[2] (born 10 September 1994[3]) is an English actress from Eastbourne, England. Born to parents originally from Swansea, Wales, Bywater began her career in 2011, making guest appearances in Casualty and Doctors. She has also starred in the St George's Day film. However, Bywater is best known for playing Lucy Beale in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 2012–14, with a re-appearance for a flashback in 2015.[4] In 2015, Bywater guest-starred in the fourth series of Death in Paradise.

Early life

Bywater was born in Reigate, Surrey. She studied performing arts at The Theatre Workshop in Sussex.

Acting career

Bywater most notable role was in EastEnders in 2012 as Lucy Beale, taking over from Melissa Suffield who played the role from 2004 to 2010.[4]
