Hilda Effiong Bassey popularly known as Hilda Baci (born 20 September, 1996) is a Nigerian chef, restuaranter and actress.[2] In August 2021, she won the "Jollof Faceoff’ competition".[3]
Early life and career
Hilda is from Nsit Ubium Local Government, Akwa Ibom, Nigeria[4]. She was born on 20 September, 1996. She graduated with a degree in sociology from Madonna University, Okija.[5] She was the host for "Dine on A Budget" on Pop Central TV, Dstv Channel 189.[6]

Guinness World Record attempt
In March 2023, Hilda announced she would be attempting the record for the longest cooking marathon.[10] The record was previously held by Lata Tondon[11] whose cooking marathon lasted for 87 hours, 45 minutes in 2019.[12][13]
On 11 May, 2023, she started her record attempt titled "Cook-a-thon".[14][15] She broke the record on 15 May.[16]
On Monday May 15, 2022 at exactly 7:45 am, Hilda broke the record for longest cooking marathon by any individual hitting 87 hours 50 minutes- 5 minutes above the previous record holder in 2019 [17]
To set a new record of the longest cooking marathon, Hilda was originally set to cook for 96hrs, but later extended her goal to a 100 hours cooking marathon. [18][19]
High profile Nigerians who visited Hilda include, Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Lead Pastor of Harvester International, Bolaji Idowu; Nigerian award-winning singer, Tiwa Savage.[20][21]
The Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo also called to cheer Hilda up during the cookathon[22]. Hilda received huge support fan base from Nigerians who trooped to the venue of the cookathon while others keep trending her name on Social Media.
