Hiroshi Nanami (名波 浩, Nanami Hiroshi, born November 28, 1972) is a former Japanese football player and manager. He played for Japan national team.

Playing career

Nanami was a key figure for the Japan national team throughout the late 1990s and during the early part of this century.

He made his J1 League debut at Júbilo Iwata in 1995 and played for the club for four years before joining Serie A side Venezia for one season in 1999.[1]

Nanami returned to Júbilo Iwata the following year and had a short spell at Cerezo Osaka in 2006 before joining Tokyo Verdy on loan in 2007.

He made his return to Júbilo Iwata in 2008, and has announced his retirement in November 2008 after being dogged by a knee injury in recent years.
