"Hostage" is a song by American singer Billie Eilish from her debut EP Don't Smile at Me. Written by Eilish and her brother Finneas O'Connell, the song was certified Platinum in the United States and Gold in Australia.

Background

Eilish talks about stealing a boys heart and keeping it locked in a chest. She also says that she would rather be alone, but she wants to be alone with him. She asks if she makes sense. She loves the feeling of her boyfriend’s kiss on her neck. But she is baffled. She prefer this new feeling over being lonely. Although, she deters that this new feeling feels right to her.[1]
