Hovik Abrahamyan (Armenian: Հովիկ Աբրահամյան, born 24 January 1958) is an Armenian politician. A member of the ruling Republican Party, he is the Prime Minister of Armenia since 13 April 2014.[1] Previously he was the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia.
Career
Abrahamyan began his career as the director of brandy factories in the 1990s. He became the Mayor of Artashat in 1996 and subsequently became the governor of the Ararat Province in 1998.[2]
