Yes i made this edit. IM abroad. We need to market the province for investment..please dont put history that i and we personally share amongst us. BUt to the outside world this is not relevant. Please consider reverting it back to the simple and sweet structure i put in place. TO be be frank naama thamilargal. I know historical stuff is important. BUt people who are interested in history should be able to find it out online not on wiki where its got to be simple and sweet. I dont want this place to talk aboit crimes and stuff like that. there is another page for that..please share my concerns

Entheogen edit on ants[edit]

Hi, you reverted this addition as not relevant, yet it is one of the only examples of an insect-based entheogen. As such, it would seem relevant to an entry on "entheogens:

answer for your inquiries[edit]

Dear Jim

I well received your message. I think the function of Wiki is to spread and share right knowledge worldwide. I think the part of controversy is not objective. I knew a case of lawsuit is true. however the contents( i mean written sentences) is NOT objective because the references are from article. As you know, articles always include personal opinion. i truly agree there are FACT too. but i would like to say, the reference is part of article and some parts are not objective because it is personal thought.

secondly, main part of Pepero page is covered by Controversy. what is the important factor of Wiki page? main contents(explanation, sales volume, # of countries etc) is more important than extra one(lawsuit etc)

and i am preparing for main contents parts now and i will update in a day.

that's the reason why i edit the Controversy part firstly.

i hope this message help you understand what i intend.

best regard,

Very simple. The legacys i removed were fan made.

Thanks for stopping the silly edits to my brothers page.

Hindu Deities[edit]

SO why did you delete my changes Jim? most of the translations and concepts surrounding the subject matter were thoroughly wrong. Even the sources of the definitions and subjects were from other outdated articles which were already biased against the Hindu culture. Why not just cite the Hindu literature for this article instead 19th century western interpretations?

Hello Jim1138, I'd like to thank you for all your useful information. I hope that you are aware that I wasn't complaining about you. It's pretty obvious. As far as the proof/evidence word usage is concerned, I definitely agree that "evidence" is far more appropriate. "Proof" seems so conclusive and compelling. Cheers. stop undoing my edit[edit]

Stop insulting me by claiming i am not giving a reason for the removal in the edit summary. This is a clear lie being peddled by you and previous editors, who have done the exact same as you. I have given very clear reasoning. (talk) 09:37, 27 January 2016 (UTC)

Merger discussion for Guanín (bronze)[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing—Guanín (bronze) —has been proposed for merging with another article. If you are interested, please participate in the merger discussion. Thank you. Anomalocaris (talk) 19:57, 28 January 2016 (UTC)

@Anomalocaris: I reverted some unexplained text deletion via wp:huggle, don't know anything about the topic, and so not concerned with the content nor merger. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 03:46, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Capitalization of "internet" vs. "Internet"[edit]

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the edit. I checked up "Internet" vs. "internet" in the Oxford English Dictionary (, and you're right, "internet" is also commonly used. I opted to use the capitalized form, since it's the primary form listed in the OED, and it's also the primary form for the Wikipedia entry on the Internet (and see here). In addition, I figured since many prominent news organizations use the capitalized form (see here), it was better to adhere to their publication standards.

Recent Change[edit] (talk) 09:49, 29 January 2016 (UTC) Jim1138, The changes brought by me were done in-order to support the non-IITian students and who aspire for IES. And I am one of them. Earlier statement ,which I changed, was derogatory and not at all user-friendly.

Hello. You recently reverted my edit of this page with the following explanation:

"I noticed that you recently removed some content from Bonham with this edit, without explaining why."

I feel there must be some mistake here, as I did leave a fairly concise edit summary. Given that your reversion was made almost immediately after my edit, I assume this was an automated action and that for some reason it didn't recognise my summary. My summary was as follows: "inked to Bonham surname page and removed redundant list of names"

To explain my case more clearly, the Bonham disambiguation page as it currently stands has a list of people with that name, which is redundant as there is already a page specifically for that purpose. What's more, the disambiguation page doesn't link to the surname page either.

I see two ways of resolving this issue: either to merge the two pages together and delete the Bonham (surname) page, or to do as I did and simply link the surname page in the disambiguation page and remove the redundant list. There are many other pages on Wikipedia that follow this same format, for instance the Jones disambiguation page.

I'll wait for your response before attempting to restore my edit as your bot is likely to revert it again. I look forward to speaking with you soon, Jim. Regards, Al — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 10:46, 29 January 2016 (UTC)

Please be circumspect with automated tools[edit]

With regard to your two recent reverts at daeva:

Huggle is intended for dealing with vandalism and other unconstructive edits. Please refer to WP:VANDAL for a helpful description of unconstructive edits.
Please use automated tools with care. Reverting without reading what you are reverting is not constructive.
The mechanisms that huggle uses "to draw conclusions as to whether an edit is constructive or not" are not foolproof and are not a license to disengage your own mind.
Your "[edit comment] didn't seem very civil, so I removed it [the edit]" does not follow.
Rolling back an *edit* for a seemingly uncivil *edit comment* is not constructive.
Incivility (real or percieved) is not a valid reason for reverting.

Please be more careful with automated reverts in the future. Rollback privileges are *privileges* that need to used with circumspection. Thank you. -- (talk) 13:13, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

Replied on editor's talk page. Jim1138 (talk) 13:18, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
Your reply simply reinforced the point that you ought to counter-check your tools (and yourself). The comment you refer to is not from when you think it is.
In any case, the point is a) do not rv'ing without valid reason, and b) you need to stop using anti-vand tools (i.e. Huggle) for non-vandalism rv's.
Move on. You messed up, but everyone messes up occasionally, and its not a big deal. Just don't be an ass about it. -- (talk) 15:21, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

I reported the IP for vandalism. I doubt anything will happen since the IP's behavior is not always constantly blanking/reverting. Hope this will solve the issue. Not vandalism[edit]

I 'm not a vandal. Just add the map of a Spanish region. They are not country, only regions of Spain. Please solve this issue with the independentist vandal.-- (talk) 23:37, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for reporting him. He's clearly going against several consensuses. Additionally, the maps he's arguing about don't suggest/indicate the nationalities of Spain are independent entities. Masclet~enwiki (talk) 01:46, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

NDS Edit[edit]

February 2016[edit]

Hi, I'm AleCapHollywood. I read your message after you undid my revision to the 2015 in film page. In my revision to the Notable deaths section, I added the name of some people that I do believe they should be part of that list. If you think I shouldn't change that list by leaving only 2 films for each name, I wouldn't mind and I apologize for having done that many times. However I'd just like to leave those names I added (I hope it's not a matter of racism since one is italian, one japanese and one russian), if you agree. Otherwise, well, I could just deal with it.

Many thanks for not having been rude with me, just like many other Wikipedia users have...

PS. I'm sorry if my English is not good enough. I guess you've already understood that I'm Italian... — Preceding unsigned comment added by AleCapHollywood (talkcontribs) 10:29, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

@AleCapHollywood: I presume that you were not logged in when you made this edit? The edit removed a number of films in the list, not added names. I restored the names which were removed. Are we talking about the same thing? Jim1138 (talk) 10:39, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
@Jim1138: Yes, it is. That very edit. I'm sorry for not having logged in. I was in a hurry and I didn't saw I wasn't logged. Excuse me, I still got to learn how to use Wikipedia. I have using it for just two years... Anyway, yes. If you look at June 5th, September 5th and November 30th, you'll see that there were 3 names that are not in the restored edit. Thank you and excuse me... AleCapHollywood

Skin (computing)[edit]

Hello, you just reverted my edit to skin (computing), pointing me to wp:preserve, but: there is no value to preserve. As mentioned on the page discussion, the statement is not only unsourced but wrong, so I cannot go and find a reference for it. The whole article is quite mediocre -- I support the proposal to merge it into theme (computing), which is quite well written and has some references. But anyway, the part I deleted has nothing to stand for it IMO, so could you please have a look on the page discussion and consider taking back your revert? -- Cheers, Sebastian (talk) 10:30, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

If you could add a source to the discussion on talk:skin (computing)#Back-to-frontthat makes the distinction, that would be helpful. Otherwise it is just wp:original research. Jim1138 (talk) 10:58, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
I'll answer on the article talk page. -- Sebastian (talk) 11:24, 2 February 2016 (UTC)

Central Europe[edit]

Hello Jim! What I did on Central Europe wasn`t a mistake. Those photos I removed didn`t include Romania which I think it`s part of Central Europe. Romania is situated at the middle distance between W and E limits of Europe (2700km from Atlantic Ocean and 2600 km from Ural Mountains). Also, Romania isn`t in the Southern Europe because it's not included in the Balcan zone, the Nothern limit of the Balcan zone is represented by the South Danube and the South Dobrogea. I would like to explain something about the page The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. What's the point the existence of wikitable in this Content called Accolades; This wikitable says the wins and nominations of the third Hobbit film. What is the reason of the existence of this wikitable in the page The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies; There is a special page (this page is a wikitable generally) about the Accolades of the entire Hobbit film trilogy named List of accolades received by The Hobbit film series. Also, there is no wikitable about the wins and nominations OF the two previous Hobbit films in both pages, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. There is no reason the existence of wikitable about the wins and nominations of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in the specific page. That is why I removed it.

Also, in case you don't know, I already gave an edit summary about the editings in the page The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.Look it here [1].The edit summary is this one: I removed the wikitable about the wins and nominations of the third Hobbit film because there is a Special page about it.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by (talk) 19:57, 3 February 2016 (UTC)

Mispresentation of the English Democrats Party[edit]

(Exoniani (talk) 19:38, 8 February 2016 (UTC)) Hello Jim1138,

The brief summary I gave explained the changes I made earlier.

Political opponents presume to portray the English Democrats incorrectly as "far right", citing spurious authorities ie the published opinions of others! The position of the English Democrats Party can be found in its online manifesto which I assert is the valid authority.

I should be glad if you would reinstate the changes I made.

I should point out that these are the first changes I have attempted to improve Wikipedia's fairness and accuracy, and I am not familiar with the processes involved in particular this "talk page" facility.

--~--RobinWiseman (talk) 18:37, 10 February 2016 (UTC)== Ian Dury ==

If you look at the Wikipedia page for Adrian Mole it gives the correct title in the first line. It's the title that's wrong. I couldn't be bothered to get into changing that because I didn't know what the ramifications might be.

I would have put in another correction on the Ian Dury page but I didn't know how I would authenticate it. The article says "Sex & Drugs & Rock 'n Roll" was left off the album "New Boots & Panties". However, on my vinyl copy, it's there - it's just not listed on the label (presumably to get past the BBC censors).
