This part to put into Nestorianism, it is very important.[edit]

Overall, Mongols were highly tolerant of most religions, and typically sponsored several at the same time. Many Mongols had been proselytized by the Church of the East since about the 7th century,[3] and some tribes' primary religion was Nestorian. In the time of Genghis Khan, his sons took Christian wives of the Khereid clan, and under the rule of Genghis Khan's grandson, Möngke, the primary religious influence was Christian. The practice of Nestorian Christianity was somewhat different from that practiced in the West, and Europeans tended to regard Nestorianism as heretical for its beliefs about the nature of Jesus. However, the Europeans also had legends about a figure known as Prester John, a great Christian leader in the East who would come to help with the Crusades. One version of the legend connected the identity of Prester John with a Christian Mongol leader, Toghrul, leader of the Kerait clan. When the Mongols conquered northern China, establishing the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368), Nestorian Christianity was re-introduced to China after a gap of centuries. As the Mongols further expanded, the Christian sympathies of the court, primarily through the influential wives of the khans, led to changes in military strategy. When the Mongols conquered Baghdad in 1258, many of the citizens of the city were massacred, but the Christian inhabitants were spared. As the Mongols further encroached upon Palestine, there were some attempts at forming a Franco-Mongol alliance with the Christians of Europe against the Muslims. Mongol contacts with the West also led to many missionaries, primarily Franciscan and Dominican, traveling eastward in attempts to convert the Mongols to Roman Catholicism. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Williamjullide (talkcontribs) 19:56, 30 July 2015‎

RE blockquotes[edit]

Many thanks! I took out the quotes and went for paragraph form descriptions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marrkkymarc (talkcontribs) 02:46, 11 August 2015 (UTC)

Many thanks : @Jim1138:, I edited the Yevgeniy Fiks page, took out the quotes, and created paragraph-style descriptions. Any ideas on how we can get the page reviewed so that the sign on top that says this reads like promotional content is taken off? Marrkkymarc (talk) 17:58, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Marrkkymarc I resized the images. The recommended size is 220px, I made it a bit larger: 240px. People can easily click on and enlarge images.
You might look at other artists with similar standing and style, especially ones tagged as Wikipedia:Featured articles. They are generally well-written. Though there quality often fades after many minor edits.
Also, I added alt= text see WP:ALT and WP:CAPTION the Homosexuality is Stalin's Atom Bomb image is likely too long.
I would suggest asking someone in the wp:teahouse. This is not my area of expertise. Looks better! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:42, 13 August 2015 (UTC)

Hi, I have removed anything that might be considered promotional content and inapropriate external links from this page. Do you think I can remove the advert tag now? Shkd (talk) 11:52, 17 August 2015 (UTC)

Economy of Canada[edit]

I sincerely hope that you weren't being serious. If you click the link "List of countries by GDP (nominal)" you would have seen that all rankings in that page list Canada as the 11th largest economies with all sources.

re: Wonderful Graphics[edit]

Thanks for your kind comment about the graphics on the Machine de Marly page. Yes, they are my work. I've tried to include as much detail as possible, thanks in large part to several sets of measured drawings done in the early 17th century of the machinery. I first started doing 3D CG about 45 years ago (mainframe computer, drum / pen plotter) and got involved with Pixar / Renderman about 25 years ago doing photo-realistic rendering. Work on this particular project has been on and off for almost 10 years, and I haven't any idea how much time I've put into it! Animating it was particularly tricky. St. Clements Church Chorlton[edit]

Hi, thanks for the guidance. The GENUKI page (cited in the Chorlton-cum-Hardy article) mentions the date of the parish's inception. The church's own webpage has no information. Is the GENUKI reference therefore acceptable ? (talk) 13:14, 21 August 2015 (UTC) The original editor of the article is engaging in competitive reversions. how can we stop her ? (talk) 15:41, 21 August 2015 (UTC) Thank you for your added comments, they're very helpful. As the original author seems to be immovable, I guess I'll leave it. But I will take up her suggestion of researching the history of the new Parish. (talk) 11:14, 22 August 2015 (UTC)

RE: Laura Branigan Edits[edit]

I presume you are a bona-fide Wiki editor, and I am writing this here on that basis.

I represent Other Half Entertainment. Edits made to the Laura Branigan page were done swiftly yesterday and I did not have time to explain every edit late last night. I will endeavor to do so over the next week or so, but I do ask that you leave edits as is for the time being, since my time will be limited for some time, as this weekend is the "Spirit of Love" Memorial Gathering, which we host and run. Also, today is the 11th anniversary of Branigan's death, and we have learned to be "hyper-vigilant" regarding content published and posted online.

I will tell you there is a small group of so-called "fans" of our artist who are fixated to an unhealthy degree, with "correcting" what they perceive as "errors" in Branigan's biography. Recently, these people have appeared to hijack databases, Wikipedia entries, and social media content, editing content that they perceive is "incorrect", and Branigan's Wikipedia entry is no different.

Thank you for your understanding.

St John Passion[edit]

Hello Jim. The page is about music. That's the reason why I find inopportune a paragraph about alleged 'antisemitism' in Johannes Passion text. If one wants to debate on religion, religious texts ect he-she can do that on a different page. There are sooo many things to say about J.P. text, but I'm unfortunately not surprised to notice anti-christian feelings on wikipedia. I erased that paragraph 2 times. The first time I wrote my reasons. The second time I was not given opportunity to explain. It is not correct to sully the person, and the greatest musician, Bach, by attacking a text that, do not forget this, simply explains the historical facts that happened in Jerusalem 2000 years ago (it is undisputed that the jews-phariseans- sentenced Jesus to death, and let the romans enforce the sentence). I hope you wil take into consideration my point. Music on pages about music. Religion on pages about religion. Thanks, Gianluca. (talk) 01:40, 27 August 2015 (UTC)

HQC International Inc.[edit]

Hi, I saw you placed a speedy deletion on the page I just created on the company I was reviewing. I saw that no where on the wiki was HQC listed. I created this page out of my love to this company so that people will know a little bit more about it. I provided great links to outside sources such as alexa internet, an interview with the ceo and their own site. Please let me know what els I need to change to make it stay on wiki.

I am Gilak and i sure the article (Gilaki people) has some mistakes.

  1. name: we are Gilak and our language is Gilaki so it is mistake to say we are Gilaki people. correct is Gilak people or Gilaks.
  2. Gilan Province is our land but some talysh people also live in Gilan an some gilaks live in Mazandaran Province. is it correct to say Gilani people? No it is mistake because Gilan is for everybody. Gilaks too live in Gilan.
  • I Request you to change "Gilani people" or "Gilaki people" to "Gilaks" or "Gilak People"
  • Sorry that my English typing is bad.--شیخ (talk) 11:18, 29 August 2015 (UTC)

@Ebyabe: I think we were created moments ago memories included as an experiment to see what will happen next. That is my theory hypothesis as to why the world is so nutty... Given that computers will continue to become more powerful, eventually people will simulate events over and over with slight changes to see what "would" have happened. Given that, it is highly unlikely that this is the first time you and I are having this conversation. -H. Keith Henson Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 01:06, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

Hiya - I didn't intend to make a sourceless addition to the article. I was merely cleaning up the quality of English on the page. Maybe I accidentally deleted a citation? If so, I apologise. (talk) 11:24, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
