Howden School and Technology College is a secondary school located in Howden, East Yorkshire, England.

Students usually attend the school from Year Seven (aged 11) to Year Eleven (aged 16), but the school also offers a Sixth Form College for those wishing to take further education, working in conjunction with Goole High School in Goole.

The school is also a college specialising in Technology and ICT.

Special measures

The school was placed in "special measures" following an Ofsted inspection in July 2010. The inspectors said the school was failing to give its pupils an acceptable standard of education.

They also said those responsible for leading, managing school were not demonstrating the capacity to secure necessary improvement.

The head teacher, Andrew Williams, left the school with immediate effect.[1]
