Huilongpu Town (simplified Chinese: 回龙铺镇; traditional Chinese: 回龍鋪鎮; pinyin: Huílóngpù Zhèn) is a rural town in Ningxiang City, Hunan Province, China. It is surrounded by Dachengqiao Town on the west, Meitanba Town and Jinghuapu Township on the north, Baimaqiao Subdistrict on the east, and Batang Town on the south. As of the 2007 census it had a population of 37,000 and an area of 71.8 square kilometres (27.7 sq mi).

Administrative division

The town is divided into thirteen villages and one community: Wanshoushan Community (万寿山社区), Huilongpu Village (回龙铺村), Duanjiaqiao Village (段家桥村), Baiyunxin Village (白云新村), Huangshan Village (黄山村), Yuanjiahe Village (袁家河村), Senjin Village (森金村), Tian'e Village (天鹅村), Quanfu Village (泉福村), Huatian Village (华田村), Zuojiahe Village (左家河村), Weihe Village (沩河村), Dongche Village (东车村) and Xinkaihe Village (新开河村).

Geography

The Wei River, known as "Mother River" and a tributary of the Xiang River, flows through the town.[1]

Watermelon is important to the economy.[1]

Culture

Huaguxi is the most influence local theater.

Attractions

Local specialties include apples.
