"I Wed Three Wives"

"I Wed Three Wives" is an episode of the American television detective series Hawaiian Eye.

Synopsis

Movie star Mark Hamilton arrives in Honolulu with his agent Cy Bliss and financial advisor Henry Bunker. Hawaiian Eye provides security for him at the Hawaiian Village Hotel. Tracy Steele soon discovers that Hamilton's charisma and good looks mask a shallow, selfish, egomaniac. Meanwhile Hamilton's three ex-wives, Mavis, Sharon, and Nora arrive at the hotel, seeking back alimony from him, but can't get past the Hawaiian Eye guards. While Cy Bliss checks out the local action, Henry Bunker warns Hamilton that the IRS is closing in on his tax dodges, precipitating a quarrel during which Hamilton strikes the older man.

Growing bored alone in his suite, Hamilton orders Steele to have the guards removed. His ex-wives then kidnap him at gunpoint, demanding the money he owes them. While Sharon and Nora sleep, Hamilton gets ex-alcoholic Mavis drunk, then romances Nora when she awakes. When Tracy Steele and Cy Bliss finally rescue Hamilton, he seems quite happy and refuses to press charges against his wives. At the hotel, Henry Bunker is found dead in his cottage. Steele realizes that during the night, Hamilton must have slipped away from one of his wives to commit murder. Steele tricks Hamilton into confessing how he lied to Nora about remarrying her, at which she blows his alibi.
