Ikinu is a settlement in Kenya's Central Province.
 The settlement's residents are mainly dairy farmers. They also grow coffee which was once the main cash crop before prices dropped and they have slowly been centring their energy on dairy farming which is proving to be more profitable.

Culture. The residents are members of the kikuyu community. Though most of kikuyu customs are slowly being forgotten, the residents follow them during marriage negotiations, boys circumcision and a few other ceremonies. Christian teachings are the ones currently guiding most activities.
