They just say the number. It's due to prices reaching very high numbers. Even a sachet of coffee is 1300 rupiah, and the price for parking your car for 1 hour is somewhere from 2000 to 3000 rupiah. A portion of Winger KFC without rice costs 24000 rupiah. Due to that, Indonesians rarely use the word rupiah when mentioning about prices and money. undo Tag: Visual edit
