Inkster is a city in Grand Forks County, North Dakota in the United States. It is part of the "Grand Forks, ND-MN Metropolitan Statistical Area" or "Greater Grand Forks". The population was 102 at the 2000 census. Inkster was founded in 1884.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 1.0 square miles (2.6 km²), all of it land.

Demographics

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there were 102 people, 45 households, and 28 families residing in the city. The population density was 102.5 people per square mile (39.4/km²). There were 55 housing units at an average density of 55.3/sq mi (21.2/km²). The racial makeup of the city was 98.04% White, and 1.96% from two or more races.

There were 45 households out of which 24.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.6% were married couples living together, 8.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 35.6% were non-families. 33.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 24.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.27 and the average family size was 2.93.

In the city the population was spread out with 22.5% under the age of 18, 8.8% from 18 to 24, 24.5% from 25 to 44, 20.6% from 45 to 64, and 23.5% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 42 years. For every 100 females there were 104.0 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 107.9 males.

The median income for a household in the city was $24,107, and the median income for a family was $27,083. Males had a median income of $23,750 versus $20,625 for females.
