45°44′55″N 4°50′09″E / 45.74866°N 4.835931°E / 45.74866; 4.835931 The IETT, the Institute for Transtextual and Transcultural Studies (French: Institut d'études transtextuelles et transculturelles (IETT)), is a research institute based in Lyon, France, attached to the doctoral school of Jean Moulin University Lyon 3. It focuses on analysis of how the world was conceived from colonialist relations, notions of gender, and techno-economic ideologies.[1] Its current director is Gregory B. Lee.[citation needed]

The IETT serves as a laboratory to the French Network for Asian Studies (GIS Asia)[2] and is a member of Europe in a Networked World (E-NeW).[3] The IETT publishes the multilingual academic journal Transtext(e)s-Transcultures: A Journal of Global Cultural Studies.[4]
