The Institute of Management of Sri Lanka (IMSL) is the national apex body in the field of professional management in Sri Lanka, dedicated to promoting professional management in the country. IMSL was inaugurated on 31 July 1986 and incorporated by Act of Parliament No. 67 on 17 December 1988.[1] Today, IMSL is a full member of the Asian Association of Management Organisations (AAMO) and represents Sri Lanka in that body.[2]

The IMSL is successor to the Sri Lanka Management Association, inaugurated on 5 May 1978.

Membership

IMSL has a membership programme, open to qualified management professionals [3].

Fellows of the IMSL are entitled to use the post-nominal letters FMIM(SL), members MIM(SL) and associate members AMIM(SL)[3].
