Iolaus hemicyanus is a butterfly in the Lycaenidae family. It is found in Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea (Bioko), the Republic of Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.[2] The habitat consists of forests.
The larvae feed on Globimetula braunii and Phragmananthera usuiensis.
