Ionithermie is the name of a treatment offered in some spas that involves the application of electronic stimulation (claiming to employ Galvanic and Faradic electrical currents), micronized algae, and conductive thermal aroma clay.

Ionithermie treatment originated in France. It was invented by the French biochemist Olivier Fouche in 1979 and then launched in the UK in 1983.
