Irion County Independent School District is a public school district based in Mertzon, Texas (USA). Residents of the West Texas Boys Ranch, in Tankersley,[1] unincorporated Tom Green County,[2] are enrolled in the Irion County school district.[3]

In 2009, the school district was rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency.[4]
