Iralco, Irish Aluminium Company,[1] is situated in Collinstown, North Westmeath. The company is one of the longest-established manufacturers in Ireland and was initially established in 1964. It produces components from some of Europe's best-known car manufacturers, including Audi, BMW, Ford, Seat, Volkswagen, Volvo and Jaguar. Currently it employs some 420 employees, and at one stage it employed 900 people.

It is estimated that Iralco employment is worth about €8 million annually to the local North Leinster economy.[2]
