Israel Mazin (Hebrew: ישראל מזין); born in Tel-Aviv,IL is an Israeli technology entrepreneur. He is currently the chairman of GAMA Property][1] a privately funded investment company for the property sector in the UK, and the co-founder of Shadow.com[2] a crowd based review platform.
Biography
Mazin was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel . During his military service he was part of the Center of Computing and Information Systems - Mamram, the Israel Defense Forces' central computing system unit, providing data processing services for all arms and the general staff of the IDF. In 1990, Mazin founded Memco Software, an open operating system security software. In 1998 Memco was acquired[3] by Platinum Technology in a stock-for-stock pooling of interests valued at just more than $400 million. In 1999, Platinum was acquired by CA for $3.5B[4][5][6] cash deal (represents $550M for Memco Software). Ever since, Mazin has been investing in High-Tech startups and in the property sector. In 2011, he founded Gama Property[7] (UK) and Shadow Technologies.[8]
