Ivica Tončev (Serbian Cyrillic: Ивица Тончев) (born November 17, 1968) is a Serbian politician, member of the Socialist Party of Serbia and special advisor to Serbian Government since 2008. He serves as a special advisor of the First Deputy Prime minister Ivica Dačić.

2008 - 2012: European integrations advisor of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of interior affairs (Ivica Dacic) 2012 - 2014: National Security Advisor of the Prime Minister of Serbia (Ivica Dacic) 2014 -  : Diaspora and Economic Diplomacy advisor of the First Deputy Prime minister and Minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Serbia (Ivica Dacic). After Serbian parliamentary election, 2016, Toncev became MP in front of the Socialist Party of Serbia, for the second time.[1] He is active in several committees of the National Assembly of Serbia. He is active in the Defence and Internal Affairs Committee (member),Foreign Affairs Committee (Deputy member) and Committee on the Diaspora and Serbs in the Region (Deputy member).[2]

Tončev graduated and obtained his master's degree at the Faculty of management Megatrend University.

He is a former vice president of the Red Star Belgrade. Toncev was active as an official of the club since December 2012 till August 2015.[3] During 2013 he was under media investigation regarding his property and links to some people from the gray zone of doing business.[4] Anyway all of these accusations were dismissed after checks undertaken by official anti corruption regulatory institutions within Serbia.[5] His faculty diploma was also under some checks after some journalists wrote about possible irregularities regarding Toncev's diplomas. Ministry of education announced that there were none irregularities regarding Ivica Toncev's BA and MA diplomas.[6] In February 2016 Toncev decided to help financially law students from Niš. He has paid fee for their participation at the student competition which will be held in Strasbourg, France.[7]

He is one of the most influential members of the Socialist Party of Serbia with close ties to party leadership. His brother Novica Tončev is also member of the same party and currently leads Municipality of Surdulica

Tončev is married and father of three children. He and his family live in Belgrade and Vienna. Also they spend some time during the year in his hometown of Surdulica.
