Rear Admiral James E. McPherson

James E. McPherson (born c. 1955) is a retired United States Navy officer, and served as the 39th Judge Advocate General of the Navy, from 2004 to 2006.[1] Before his career in the Navy, he was a military policeman in the United States Army.[2]

Rear Admiral McPherson graduated from San Diego State University in 1977 with an undergraduate degree in Public Administration.[1] He received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) in 1981 from the University of San Diego School of Law, and in 1991, he was awarded a Master of Laws degree in Military Law from The Judge Advocate General's Legal Center and School, Charlottesville, Virginia.[1]
