Jamie Quinn is a Scottish actor and musician. He is best known for playing the roles of Fergie in Still Game , Private Kevin "Mac" McDowell in Bluestone 42 and Ian Baird in Two Doors Down.

Early life

Quinn was born in Glasgow, Scotland and grew up in nearby Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire.[citation needed]

He trained at the Drama Centre London.[citation needed]

Career

Quinn began his career playing the role of Fergie in the Scottish sitcom Still Game, a role which he played for five series.[citation needed]

[1] His other television credits include Butterfingers, "Coming Up, Taggart, Casualty and River City. He is currently starring in the new series of Two Doors Down on BBC Two.

On stage, Quinn appeared in the role of Fraz in the award-winning production of Black Watch with the National Theatre of Scotland.[2] Since 2013, Quinn has starred in the BBC Three comedy Bluestone 42, playing the role of Private Kevin "Mac" McDowell.[3][4][5] Since 2015 Quinn has been the singer and guitarist for London-based band Penny Mob.[citation needed] The band is currently working on their first EP.[citation needed]
