The Japanese General Election of 1917 (第13回衆議院議員総選挙, Dai-jusan Shūgiin Giinsōsenkyō) was the Empire of Japan’s thirteenth general election for members of the House of Representatives of the Diet of Japan, held on April 20, 1917. The Rikken Seiyūkai, led by Prime Minister Terauchi Masatake overtook the Kenseikai (the former Rikken Dōshikai) and obtained a majority of seats in the Diet.
