Jean Lèques (born August 31, 1931 in Nouméa) is a New Caledonian politician. He served as mayor of Nouméa from 1986 to 2014; between 1999 and 2001 he was president of the government of New Caledonia.[1] of New Caledonia of the Agreement of Jean Lèques is a French politician, been born on August 31, 1931 in Nouméa (New Caledonia). He is the mayor of Nouméa since 1986 and was from 1999 till 2001 the first president of the existent Government Nouméa of 1998 and the organic law of 1999.
