Jetti Alfred Oliver is the current President of Church History Association of India (CHAI). He was recently elected to the 10 member international governing council of the Society for International Development (SID).[1][2][3]
Early life
He was born in Raigudem village of Khammam district in Andhra Pradesh, India. He obtained his doctorate in Development Economics from Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University in 1970.[4]
Associated Organizations
He worked as Director of the Socio-economic Board of Diocese of Dornakal of the Church of South India, with headquarters in Dornakal for 10 years.[5] Later he served in various leadership roles such as Director of the Centre for Promoters of Rural Development (CPRD), Chairman of the Young Men's Christian Associations (YMCA) of the South East India Region, President of the Voluntary Health Association of India (VHAI), and state representative of the National Council of Churches in India (NCCI).[6][7][8][9][10]
