James 'Jimmy' Collins (21 December 1937 in Sorn) is a former Scottish professional footballer who played for Lugar Boswell Thistle, Tottenham Hotspur, Brighton & Hove Albion.[1]

Playing career

Collins began his career at non League club Lugar Boswell Thistle before joining Tottenham Hotspur in June, 1956. The inside forward featured in two first team matches in 1961 for the Lilywhites and made his senior debut against West Ham United on 23 August 1961.[2][3] In October, 1962, Collins signed for Brighton & Hove Albion and went on to feature in 201 matches and found the net 44 times between 1962–1966.
