Joel Segal is an American sports agent and the president of Team Sports for Lagardere Americas. He graduated magna cum laude from George Washington University where he was inducted into the George Washington University Sports Executives Hall of Fame in 2011.[1] Segal graduated from Hofstra Law School.[1]

In 2016 Segal was named to USA Today's "The NFL's 100 Most Important People" list.[2] He was named to Forbes "World's Most Powerful Sports Agents" lists in 2015.[3] In 2008 Segal was named one of the "Most Powerful Sports Agents" by Sports Business Journal.[4]

Segal ran a private practice and later became president of Football for Lagardère Sports in May 2016.[5]

Through his career, Segal negotiated contracts for a large list of high-profile players, and has been responsible for many record-setting NFL contracts. At eleven consecutive years, Segal has the longest multiple first-round draft picks streak representing players.[6]

With over 25 years of experience representing NFL players, Segal has built one of the largest practices in the league.[7][8] His list of clients includes many first-round draft picks, pro bowlers, and other notable players.[3][9][10][8][11][12][13]
