John Maxwell Aiken (born 3 July 1970) is a former New Zealand cricketer who played for the Auckland Aces and Wellington Firebirds. Born in Sydney, Australia, he was predominantly a left-handed batsman who played 46 first class matches and 39 one-day matches in a career spanning 12 years from 1989 to 2001. He scored 2,170 first-class runs at an average of 28.93 (high score 170 not out, 33 catches, 4 centuries) and 817 one-day runs at an average of 23.34 (high score 101 not out, 8 catches, one century). During his career, he represented New Zealand selections against the West Indies, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Sri Lanka.[1]
