John Philip "Jock" Henebry (February 14, 1918 – September 30, 2007) was an United States Air Force Major General. He was born in Plainfield, Illinois. In 1936, he graduated from Campion High School[1] in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, and then went to the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana, where he graduated from in 1940. General Henebry was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. General Henebry was one of the commanders in the United States Air Force's 3rd Wing. During the Korean War, he took part in Operation Courageous. General Henebry, his wife, and family lived in Winnetka, Illinois. He died in Evanston, Illinois.[2][3]
