John Ugelstad

John Ugelstad (31 March 1921 – 3 April 1997) was a Norwegian chemical engineer and inventor.
He was born in Trondheim. He was assigned professor at the Norwegian Institute of Technology from 1966 to 1991. He is particularly known for his discovery of a process to form monodisperse micropellets (microbeads and dynabeads). He was decorated Commander of the Order of St. Olav in 1990. The Ugelstad Laboratory in Trondheim is named after him.[1][2]
