John Weller (bishop)
The Right Rev. John Reginald Weller, MA (6 October 1880 – 26 October 1969)[1] was an Anglican priest: the Bishop of the Falkland Islands from 1934 to 1937;[2] and of Argentina and Eastern South America[3] from then until 1946.
He was educated at Bedford School and Selwyn College, Cambridge;[4] and, after an earlier career as a tea planter, he was ordained in 1914. He served in Delhi, Waziristan, Mesopotamia and Quetta (after 1917 as a military Chaplain[5]). He was the Superintendent of the Missions to Seamen in Melbourne and then Merseyside[6] before his elevation to the Episcopate.[7]
