Josefin Asplund (born Maria Josefin Asplund 15 October 1991)[1] is a Swedish actress, mostly known for playing Pernilla Blomkvist in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011) and Astrid on the History Channel series Vikings.[2][3] She plays one of the lead roles in the film adaptation (2015) of the best selling Swedish novel The Circle.

History

Asplund attended Sodra Latins Gymnasium (Southern Latin secondary school) from 2007 - 2010 in Stockholm, Sweden.[4][5] She also took lessons at Calle Flygares Teaterskola in 2009.
