Juan José Rithner was an Argentine footballer, played as goalkeeper in Porteño and in the Argentina national football team.[1]
Career
Rithner was born in Buenos Aires, he began his career in the Club Atlético Porteño. On November 26, 1911, Rithner played the championship game against the Alumni Athletic Club.[2] And in the following year he was champion with Porteño.[3]
His great performances in Porteño, earned him a place in the Selección Argentina. On May 27, 1914, Rithner scored two goals against Uruguay, the match was played in Córdoba, Argentina.[4] He played in the first America's Cup, held in 1916.[5]
