Juan Luis Hens Lorite (born 7 February 1984 in Fuente Palmera, Córdoba), commonly known as Juanlu, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Mérida AD as a right midfielder.

Club career

After starting out at local Córdoba CF, Juanlu moved to Valencia CF in 2004, playing mostly for its B-side. On 23 January 2005, he appeared in his first and only official match with the first team, against Villarreal CF: he came on as a substitute for Francisco Rufete in the seventh minute, being himself replaced at half-time by Marco Di Vaio in an eventual 1–3 away loss.[1]

After a loan at UE Lleida, Juanlu was released and resumed his career also in the second division, settling with CD Tenerife and contributing with four goals in 35 games in his second season as the club returned to La Liga after seven years.
