Julio César Rodríguez Giménez (born 5 December 1990) is a Paraguayan professional footballer who plays as a forward for Arsenal de Sarandí, on loan from Unión Santa Fe, in the Argentine Primera División.[1][2]

Rodríguez's first taste of senior football came in October 2010 as he was selected on the bench by Defensa y Justicia for a match against Tiro Federal in Primera B Nacional, he didn't make an appearance for the club until after his loan move to Primera C Metropolitana side Berazategui.[1] He scored 3 goals in 25 games for Berazategui before making his Defensa y Justicia debut on 13 October 2012 in a defeat to Instituto.[1] He went onto make 24 league appearances in 2012–13 for Defensa y Justicia before leaving the club and Argentine football to join Liga MX team Tijuana in 2013.[1][3] He made just one appearance for Tijuana, which actually came in the middle of his loan spell with Tijuana's Ascenso MX affiliate club Dorados de Sinaloa. That only appearance for Tijuana was in a 6–0 home win over Honduran side Victoria in the 2013–14 CONCACAF Champions League.[1][3] As for his spell with Dorados de Sinaloa, he made 16 appearances and scored 2 goals.[1]

After just one season in Mexico, Rodríguez returned to Argentina and old club Defensa y Justicia of Primera B Nacional.[1] However, he was almost immediately loaned out to Argentine Primera División side Godoy Cruz.[1][4] 16 games and 3 goals followed for him at Godoy before he went back to recently promoted Primera División club Defensa y Justicia, he subsequently scored 6 times in 32 matches across two seasons in Argentina's top-flight.[1] 2016 saw Rodríguez on the move again as he left Defensa y Justicia to sign for Unión Santa Fe, before being loaned out to Arsenal de Sarandí for the 2016–17 Argentine Primera División season.[1][5][6]
