Dr K K Aggarwal is an Indian physician and cardiologist who is President Elect of CMAAO , President of the Heart Care Foundation of India and the Past National President of Indian Medical Association.[1] The Government of India honoured him, in 2010, with the award of Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award, for his contributions to the field of medicine.[2]
Biography
He did his MBBS from Nagpur University in 1979[3] and obtained an MD from the same university in 1983.[4] He was a senior consultant at Moolchand Medcity, New Delhi, India, until 2017[5]
He has published many books on health including Alloveda, 6 textbook chapters on echocardiography and thousands of articles in national and international press.[3][4] He is one of the pioneers of streptokinase therapy for heart attack in India and introduced the technique of Colour Doppler Echocardiography in India,[4] Dr Aggarwal has been honored with the Dr. B. C. Roy Award, the highest Indian award in the medical category, in 2005.[3][4][6] He is also a recipient of Vishwa Hindi Samman, National Science Communication Award, FICCI Health Care Personality of the Year Award, Dr D S Mungekar National IMA Award,[6] and the Rajiv Gandhi Excellence Award,[6] In 2010, he received the Padma Shri.[2] He is Gold Medalist and Limca Book of record holder in CPR 10.[citation needed]
He has been National President of the Indian Medical Association.[7] and Chief Editor of IJCP Group.[8]
