Kabir Bakul (Template:Lang-bn),(born: November 21, 1966) is a prominent lyricist of Bangladesh. Besides that, he has worked as a journalist also. He earned the National Film Award as the Best Lyricist at 2008,[1] 2009,[2] 2010[3] and 2013.[4]

Private life

Kabir Bakul was born at November 21, 1966 in Chandpur District. His wife is singer Dinat Jahan Munni. They have two daughter Ishrak Nawar"Prerona", Safwana Nawar"Protikkha" and a son Hamdan Mabruk "Procchod".

Working life

Kabir Bakul joined The Daily Vorer Kagoj at 1993. Later on from the commencement of The Daily Prothom Alo (1998) he worked there. At present, he is working in Maasranga Television as Head of Event and Planning. He first wrote his song at 1994 in the film "Ogni Sontan". For this song he was nominated for the Best Lyricist at the Bangladesh Film Director Samity Award.

Songs

Kabir Bakul is writing songs, poems from 1986–1987. In 1988 he first wrote 13 songs and provided to Singer Tapan Chowdhury. From those songs 2 of them were released in 2 albums. The first song was 'Kal sara raat tomari kakon jeno kane kane rinijhini bejeche' in which the singer was Ayub Bacchu. The second song was 'Pothe jete jete khujechi tomay ami' in which the singer was Nasim Ali Khan. Till now he wrote 800 films song. His writing total song now 5000.[5]

Kabir Bakul 1st written drama name Goodbye America on-air July 2012 at Eid program. His second drama Kajoler Ontordan on-air October 2012 at RTV. His third Drama was `Deyaler opare ache akash' onaired on Bnagla vison.
