Kaimata is a locality in Taranaki, New Zealand. Inglewood is about 7.5 km to the west. The Manganui River flows past to the west.[1][2] Kaimata was one of many townships established to service the dairy industry.[3]

The population of the Kaimata statistical area was 2,601 in the 2006 census, an increase of 201 from 2001. The statistical area covers a large region around and to the east of Inglewood, not just the locality of Kaimata[4]

Education

Kaimata School is a coeducational full primary (years 1-8) school with a decile rating of 6 and a roll of 53.[5]
